Job Title: Accounts Receivable Administrator: Reporting to Manager of Accounting (A/R)

This position will be responsible for processing receivables including cheques, EFT, credit card receipts as well as updating the customer database which involves a significant amount of data input. The individual will also be required to respond to both internal and external customer queries. Assistance in the preparation of monthly accounting reconciliations will be required.

Job Location: Downtown Toronto

The ideal candidate should:

  • 2-3 years of A/R experience and customer service, preferably servicing professional customers (e.g. lawyers, accountants, etc.)
  • Education - college diploma or higher level in accounting or related area is preferred
  • Experience in processing EFT, insufficient cheques (NSF), credit card payments
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word as well as database spreadsheet entry
  • Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities so that deadlines are met
  • High degree of accuracy and superior attention to detail
  • Demonstrated team player

Job Title: Claims Administrator: Reporting to Unit Director & Counsel
(Permanent – Full Time, 2 positions)

We’re looking for skilled administrative professionals to join our team in the role of the Claims Administrator. The Claims Administrator carries out prescribed claims administrative work on assigned claim files, provides claims support, provides occasional reception relief and assists with other projects and initiatives within the claims team and/or company as may be assigned from time to time in an appropriate, timely and efficient way.

An integral part of the claims handling team, the Claims Administrator must demonstrate independence and initiative in contributing towards the results-oriented operation of the claims team.

Job Location: Toronto

The ideal candidate should:

  • have prior related work experience, preferably in a legal or insurance environment;
  • have sound time management skills, be able to prioritize competing priorities and manage own assignments;
  • possess superior attention to detail and be proficient in proofreading;
  • have experience with preparing correspondence (e.g. using precedent documents, dictation) and memoranda;
  • set up and maintain claim files including account reconciliation;
  • handle incoming electronic mail, calls and schedule meetings;
  • have demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with tact and diplomacy with both internal and external contacts at all levels;
  • have good knowledge of Microsoft Office software package and a high level of expertise with various computer programs;
  • have experience working in a team environment.

Job Title: Security Administrator: Reporting to Operations Manager

Working under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Security Administrator is responsible for the implementation, co-ordination, and/or administration of information security systems and tools, and monitoring/responding to security events or incidents. The individual in this position will work closely with internal staff and co-ordinate activities with vendors and managed service providers in order to maintain the optimal security, privacy, and integrity of LAWPRO information resources.

Job Functions:

Evaluate, install, configure, and/or maintain security systems and applications. Systems may be in-house or outsourced;

Assist in the implementation of corporate security policies, assessments and compliance;

Assist in the recommendation, scheduling, testing, and application of security patches;

Assist with system and application vulnerability testing;

Perform remedial actions in response to security incident reports,threat and vulnerability assessments or internal/external audits;

Monitor, analyze and react to unusual network or system activity;

Review system inventory to verify patch and version standardization and compliance;

Act as a liaison with product vendors and managed service providers;

Act as level two support escalation point as required;

Other backup system admin duties as assigned and appropriate.

Job Location: Toronto

The ideal candidate should:

  • have 5+ years experience in the information technology field with 2+ years exposure/experience in the security field;
  • have a degree or certificate in an IT related field or equivalent work experience, CISSP preferred;
  • appreciation for core information security principles, including threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity management;
  • have current knowledge of security software applications, tools and services;
  • have current knowledge of network infrastructure and communications (including firewalls, routers, switches, firewalls) and associated network standards and protocols;
  • have a strong background with current Microsoft Windows and Active Directory/Group Policy administration technologies;
  • have a strong background with Linux/Unix administration;
  • have experience with securing portable devices;
  • have experience with security systems including firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management systems, SIEM, is strongly preferred;
  • have knowledge of CIS benchmarks, security frameworks, and system hardening best practices;
  • have knowledge of ITIL principles (e.g., change management, incident management);
  • have experience with managing security aspects of cloud system implementations;
  • have experience with scripting, tools and techniques;
  • have the proven ability to work under stress in emergencies with flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously;
  • have the ability to work both independently and co-operatively in a small team environment;
  • be dedicated to exceptional customer service;
  • have the ability and appetite to learn new technologies and adapt to a rapidly changing environment;
  • possess troubleshooting and information-seeking abilities;
  • have strong organizational and time management skills;
  • have excellent communication skills in English (mandatory) and French (preferred).
